Texas's first
documented Fan-tailed Warbler was first noticed in Pine Canyon,
Big Bend National Park on August 13th, 2007. Countless
birders flocked to see it and the bird has been quite cooperative,
with it still being present some 4 weeks later.
Tony and Phyllis Frank
of Houston went out to see the bird in early September and took
some wonderful photos. Below are four of these photos
(taken on September 7th, 2007) that Tony has allowed me to post
here.
